The operator of JFK’s Terminal 4 provided critical supplies to a local food bank ahead of an unprecedented holiday season

Queens, New York – November 25 – JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, donated more than 200 turkeys to Bethany Baptist Church of Jamaica ahead of Thanksgiving, helping families in the local community to enjoy homecooked meals during the holiday.

“For a second year, we are continuing our partnership with Bethany Baptist Church to donate turkeys and help to feed those in need this Thanksgiving,” said Roel Huinink, JFKIAT President and CEO. “Our community is struggling through an unprecedented time due to the unforeseen impacts of the pandemic, and it is more important than ever to provide support to those who need it most. We are proud to partner with Bethany Baptist Church, and we look forward to continuing our work together in the years to come.”

“We are grateful this generous donation of turkeys from JFKIAT,” said Sister Nancy of Bethany Baptist Church. “These turkeys will help many families in our community start the holiday season with a sense of normalcy in a year that has presented many difficult challenges.”

JFKIAT’s corporate giving program, 4GOOD, seeks to serve local institutions through philanthropic and sustainable actions to make a positive impact on the community. In 2020, JFKIAT sold homemade face masks to T4 employees and used the proceeds to purchase $2,000 in grocery gift cards for underprivileged families at J.H.S. 226 Virgil I. Grissom. The company also held a school supplies drive at T4 to benefit students of Virgil I. Grissom and the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens at the beginning of the fall semester.
